Death info on Golden S Hammer

Golden Sevell Hammer was a brother-in-law to Lillie.  He married Lillie's sister, Bonnie.

Golden Sevell Hammer
Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, Golden Sevell Hammer, passed away April 24, 1991 of heart failure.  He was 73 years of age.
Born June 16, 1917 in Holbrook, Idaho to Louis Mathias and Chloe Iretta Marble Hammer.  When he was four-years old his family moved to Brigham City, Utah, where he spent his early life.  He married Bonita Mae Jardine in Burley, Idaho September 16, 1936; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
He was a member of the LDS Church, a high priest in the Garden Heights Ward.  Golden drove for Salt Lake and Tooele stages for seven years.  He also was a long line driver for Garrett Freight Line 30 years.  He enjoyed five years as a Snowbird in St. George, which he loved.
Survived by wife, four children, Mrs. Jodie (LaRee) Hoyt, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Lynn (Rozanne) Ellis*, Duchesne; Mrs. David (Carol) Campost*; son, Steven and wife Karen, Sandy; 18 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; sisters, Iretta May, Brigham; Mrs. Shelby (Blanche) Cornett, Mrs. Darlene Cheney, Violet Campbell, Mrs. Farrell (Dorotha) Deardon, all of Ogden; Mrs. Phil (Jeanette) Peterson, Roy.  Preceded in death by parents; son, William Louis Hammer; and brother, Louis Hammer.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 27, 1991, 12 noon, at Mountain View Memorial Estates.  7800 South 3115 East.  Friends may call Friday 6-8 p.m. at Memorial Estates, 5950 South 900 East, and at Mountain View one hour prior to services.  Interment, Mountain View Memorial Estates.

BIRTH: 13 Mar 1897- Herford, Westfallen, Germany*
DEATH: 22 Feb 1897- Taylorsville, Salt Lake, Utah
He was 89 years old when he died.
*Particular birth area is derrived from info found on his familysearch.org profile.  I have yet to obtain exacting proof of that location...  Also, his marriage record states his birth year was 1899, but all other records indicate 1897 as correct.

Emil Porschatis
Loving husband, father, and grandfather, Emil Porschatis, age 89, died February 22, 1987, at his daughter and son-in-law's home in Taylorsville.
Born March 13, 1897, in Germany, to Herman Franc and Maria Solbelguntz Porschatis.  He married Mary Lythgoe in 1919, in Salt Lake City.  She died February 19, 1973.  Member, LDS Church.  Baker.
Survived by: Daughter, Mrs. Dale (Faye) Howard, Taylorsville; grandson and wife, Dee and Darlene Howard, Sandy; great-grandson, Jason Howard, sister, Emma Ward, Salt Lake City; preceded in death by seven brothers.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 2 p.m., Memorial Estates Mortuary, 5850 So. 900 East, where friends may call Tuesday, 6 to 8 p.m., and Wednesday, one hour prior to services.  Burial, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.

Death info on Bill Gunnell

William Bailey Gunnell was a brother-in-law to George.  He married George's sister Nellie (... who went by Fay.)

LAYTON- Funeral services will be Tuesday for William "Bill" Gunnell, 72, of Layton, who died Saturday ina Roy hospital.  His sister, Mrs. Ann Jacobson, lives in Orem.
He was born Jan. 3, 1902 in Wellsville, Cache County, a son of William J. and Mary Bailey Gunnell.  He married Nellie Faye Lythgoe on Dec. 17, 1924 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
He lived for many years in Strevell, Ida., where he operated two service stations.  He moved to Layton in 1972.  He was a member of the LDS Church.
Surviving are his widow, a son and daughter, William L. Gunnell, Carmichael, Calif., and Gayle Gunnell, Sunset; three grandchildren; and three brothers and three sisters, Francis P. Gunnell and Grant P. Gunnell, both of Bridge, Ida.; Leland P. Gunnell, Wellsville; Emma B. Gunnell, Greenbrae, Calif.; Mrs. Ann Jacobson, Orem, and Mrs. Rex (Bernice) Zobell, Cheyenne, Wyo.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Lindquist and Sons Mortuary, Ogden, where friends may call one hour prior to services.  Burial will be in Washington Heights Memorial Park.

George Alfred Ward
George Alfred Ward, 87, passed away August 7, 2002 in Sandy, Utah.
Born April 1, 1915 in Almo, Idaho to Asael and Alice Eames Ward.  He married the love of his life, Violet Jardine, on June 7th 1939.  They were members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
George served his country in the United States Army during World War II in France.  He was an avid golfer and bowler and enjoyed gardening.  George was loved by all who knew him and will be missed greatly.
Survived by his son Gregory A. Ward, Lehi, Utah; daughters-in-law, Alice Hulliger and Darylee Russell; brother Buddy; sisters, Rita, Ozella and Buryl; 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his wife, Violet; sons, Terry and Randy; daughters, Laura Lee and Debbie.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, August 12, 2002 in the chapel at Mountain View Memorial Estates, 3115 East 7800 South (Bengal Blvd.)  Friends may call Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Monday at Mountain View.
