Death info on Nellie Faye L Gunnell

Nellie Faye Lythgoe Gunnell was George's younger sister.

She was 98 years old when she died.

Nellie Faye Lythgoe Gunnell, 1905-2004
Nellie Faye Lythgoe Gunnell, 98, passed away on August 23, 2004 at the Chandler Healthcare Center in Chandler, AZ.
She was born Nov. 3, 1905 in Salt Lake City, UT to John Thomas and Hannah White Lythgoe.  She was married to William Bailey Gunnell Dec. 17, 1924 in Salt Lake LDS Temple.  The couple lived for a time in Naf, Idaho then moved to Strevell, ID where they operated a gas station and small cafe for many years.  Faye's cooking was known far and wide, and many travelers stopped at their place to partake of delicious food.  Faye was also a Justice of the Peace for the State of Idaho Port of Entry.  Bill, as her husband was known, had a government contract as a rural mail carrier, and was also caretaker of the emergency landing field at Strevell.
Two children were born to them, William LeRoy Gunnell, and Loa Gayle Gunnell, who survive.  Preceding her in death were her husband, three sisters and three brothers.  She is survived by daughter-in-law, Marjorie Alice Gunnell; three grandchildren, Marcia G. Madsen, Darla G. Klovski and William Steven Gunnell.  Faye is also survived by five great-grandsons, James Roy Gunnell, Ethan Winn Gunnell, Charles William Madsen, Peter Christopher Madsen and Matthew Geoffrey Madsen.
Fay had a love of life reflected in her cheerful attitude and willingness to help those who needed it.  Her grandchildren held her in especially high esteem, and know she was a fun grandma.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2004 at 10:00 a.m., Lindquist Mortuary, Odgen, UT.  Interment will follow in Washington Heights Cemetery.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Novebmer 1, 1994, at the Burley LDS 4th Ward, 550 East 16th, in Burley, with Bishop Eric Fonnesbeck officiating.  Burial will follow in the Valley Vu Cemetery in Malta.  Friends may call at the Payne Mortuary, 221 West Main in Burley, from 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday and at the church from 10 to 10:45 a.m., prior to the funeral.

Lawrence B. Jardine
BURLEY- Lawrence Badger Jardine, 82, Burley, died Thursday, Oct. 27, 1994, at Cassia Memorial Hospital in Burley.
He was born August 15, 1912, at Standrod, Utah, the son of William and Rosetta Badger Jardine.  He attended schools in Standrod, Park Valley and Tremonton, Utah.
He married Ivy Paskett on Nov. 25, 1931, in Brigham City, Utah, and the marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.  She preceded him in death in October 1986.
Following their marriage, the Jardines lived in Standrod where he ranched with his father.  In May 1935 they moved to Malta, where he went into the trucking business, hauling coal from the coal mines in Southern Utah to the Malta area, and various other types of trucking, among them work at Hill Air Force Base and living in Salt Lake City for a time.  They later bought a farm at Clover Lane (Bridge, Idaho) where he farmed for a time until moving to Burley.  In Burley he engaged in the real estate business in the late 1950s, forming and then operating Idaho Realty for more than 30 years.  He loved his work and enjoyed meeting people.
In 1988, he married Loa Korb and they combined their real estate offices and continued to... (text disruption)...
He was a member of the LDS Church, a part president of the Burley-Rupert Board of Realtors, and held many positions and was looked up to for his honesty and integrity.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and a son, in addition to his first wife.
Surviving are his wife; a sister, Lillie Lythgoe of Heber City, Utah; a foster sister, Genevieve Rose Udy; three daughters, Mrs. Winston (JaNeal) Hutchinson of Springdale, Mrs. Roscoe (Joyce) Ward of Almo, and Mrs. Ross (Bonna) Anderson Jr. of Stone, Idaho; one son, Darwin Jardine of Blackfoot; and 14 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.  They all loved him dearly and will miss him very much.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, at the Burley LDS Fourth Ward, 550 E. 16th St., with Bishop Eric Fonnesbeck officiating.  Burial will be in Valley Vu Cemetery at Malta.

CLEARFIELD- John Edward Lythgoe, 89, of 599 West 300 North, Clearfield, formerly of Pelican Lake, Utah, died Wednesday, January 7, 1981, at the North Davis Medical Center, from kidney failure.
He was born March 10, 1891, in Salt Lake City, Utah, a son of John Thomas and Hannah White Lythgoe.  He married Annie Johnson May 6, 1914, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.  He was a retired real estate broker.  He had lived in Salt Lake City, Clearfield, and Pelican Lake, Utah.
Survived by: Wife; five daughters, Mrs. Dave W. (Fern) Barratt, Pelican Lake; Mrs. Edwin (Afton) Higley, Clearfield; Mrs. Frank (Veda) Gillespie, Salt Lake City; Mrs. R.D. SANDY- Violet Joan Ward, died May 8, 1982 in a local hospital after a lingering illness.
Born on January 29, 1918 in Standrod, Idaho to William and Rose Badger Jardine.  Married George A. Ward on June 7, 1939 in Salt Lake City.  She was always a friend and a help to everyone she met.
Survived by: Husband, Sandy; children, Terry, Gusher, Utah; Gregory, Sandy; Debra Nosack, West Valley City; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, Lawrence B. Born May 24 1897, Salt Lake City, a daughter of John T. and Hannah White Lythgoe.  Married Olaf S. Jespersen, in 1916 in the Salt Lake Temple, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints.  He died in July of 1924.  Married Arthur Kempton in 1926, in the Salt Lake Temple.  He died in March 1951.  Active in the Church, serving in the Mutual and Primary.  Vocalist.  Moved in 1931* from Idaho to Salt Lake City, where she has since resided.

Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Bonita Mae Hammer, 78, returned to her Heavenly Father December 22, 1993 at her home in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born May 1, 1915 in Standrod, Idaho to William and Rosetta Badger Jardine.  Married Golden S. Hammer September 16, 1935 in Burley, Idaho; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.  He preceded her in death April 24, 1991.  Also preceded in death by son, Louis Hammer.
Bonita was president and work director in teh Relief Society in the Southgate Ward.  She was a volunteer pink lady at the Cottonwood Hospital of 22 years. "Mom's hands were never idle.  She was always working on some craft or novelty."
Survived by her children, Mrs. Jodie (LaRee) Hoyt; Mrs. Lynn (Rozanne) Ellis; Mrs. David (Carol) Campbell; son, Steven and wife Karen; 18 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; sister, Lillie Lythgoe, Heber City, Utah; brother, Lawrence Jardine, Burley, Idaho.

William Jardine & Rose Badger

William Jardine and Rose Badger were Lillie's parents.

William Jardine (of Kelton, UT) married Rose Badger (of Kelton, UT) on 26 July 1909 in Ogden, UT.
Thus, she became Rose Badger Jardine.

John T Lythgoe (of Millcreek, UT) and Hannah White (of Millcreek, UT) were married in Logan, Cache, UT on 5 Mar 1890.
Thus, she became Hannah White Lythgoe.
