Ruth J. Kempton
Ruth White Lythgoe Jesperson Kempton, 63, 2985 S. State St., died Sunday at her residence of natural causes.
Born May 24 1897, Salt Lake City, a daughter of John T. and Hannah White Lythgoe. Married Olaf S. Jespersen, in 1916 in the Salt Lake Temple, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints. He died in July of 1924. Married Arthur Kempton in 1926, in the Salt Lake Temple. He died in March 1951. Active in the Church, serving in the Mutual and Primary. Vocalist. Moved in 1931* from Idaho to Salt Lake City, where she has since resided.
Survivors: two sons, daughter, Mrs. John (Vauna) Paypat, Las Vegas, Nev.; Lee L. Jespersen, Salt Lake City; Ray Kempton, Murray; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers and three sisters, John E. Lythgoe, Clearfield; George Lythgoe, Myton, Duchesne County; Mrs. Fay Gunnell*, Strevell, Idaho; Allen Lythgoe, Mrs. Lyle Chapman*, Mrs. Mary Porschatis, all of Salt Lake City.
Funeral services Thursday 2 p.m. at 260 E. South Temple, where friends may call Wednesday 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday prior to services. Burial will be in Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
