The following are photos of the motel George and Lillie ran for several years in Heber City, Utah. The property appears to have been called El Rancho Motel at one point in time, and earlier called the Lythgoe Motor Lodge. It's unclear how many years it was operated under their supervision, but based on ages of pictured children and cars, my guess is between the late 1940s-1960s, although clarity on that subject through further research is welcome.
The following were from the Scot Lythgoe personal albums, scanned November 2012. TIF files of the same images were largely found in the personal albums of Lane Lythgoe as well.
Unknown girl deeper inside the motel property with the Main Street behind her.
These are photos of it all boarded up, and with cars dating to the 1970s... were these photos of when their era with it ended?
Ab Winterrose (son-in-law to George and Lillie) allowed scans of his personal albums as well on June 2008, which yielded the following images as well:
I suspect the woman here is one of Lillie's sisters, and George is halfway seen on the right.
The following image is a clip of a plat map which was found in the Lane Lythgoe personal albums, scanned March 2010, although its unclear which property buildings align with the Motor Lodge in question.
The following were negatives from that same collection of Lane Lythgoe, scanned at the same time, but I finally took the time to invert the image, showing a progressive evolution of the Motor Lodge, as seen in the covered porch of the unit entries. Note also the swapping of a street tree for the signage.
